Why donate to traps?
TRAPS is a non-registered, autonomous and non-paid collective. At the contrary of non-profits, where most money goes to employees and small bosses, all donations will be used to support community-building for trans women and transmisogyny-affected people.
Contributing to our general funds will support our free suppers, our support network as well as a variety of activities every month. Contributing to our Mutual Aid Fund will support marginalized and poor trans women, femme, and other transmisogyny-affected people.
Why donate to the support for BIPOC initiatives?
We have chosen to fund the self-organization of transfeminine BIPOC communities in response to structural inequalities in our collectivities. This decision is in direct line with the conclusions of our collective reflection assembly of February 17th, where the consensus on how to include and help the most vulnerable in our communities was first and foremost through financial support, and where the resolution to create the Movement for Transfeminism was voted in the same breath as the mandate to establish a fund to support BIPOC transfem collectives. More details on this fund will be available soon at https://transfeministe.ca/aide-mutuelle%7C-mutual-aid.
Why donate to the Mutual Aid Fund?
Why donate to the Mutual Aid Fund? The Mutual Aid Fund is a fund managed by the Movement for Transfeminism that redistributes money to trans woman and transmisogyny affected-people in Montreal/Tioh:tiake.
The main focus of our mutual fund is to build strong, resilient and solidarity-based communities, within and around the TRAPs alliances and networks.
You can choose to donate to TRAPS general activities, the fund for BIPOC initiatives, or the Mutual Aid Fund.
